The Artist

The motifs has been created by the Swedish artist Nils-Erik Nilsson from Halmstad. He has painted motifs from the countryside and coast of Halland in oil and watercolours since the beginning of the 1970s. Since 2003, the focus has mainly been on the painting of towns and Cristmas cards from Sweden´s 134 towns and cities. Within the town´s motif, there is always an endeavor to capture the symbol of the respective towns, the motif is therefore a mixture of fantasy, reality, humour and includes many details.
